Praise God for music and voices to sing songs of praise! Singing a song of praise, even though one may not feel like praising God, has a way of lifting one's heart and bringing the soul closer to Christ.

As I reflect back over the years that Voice of Praise has been ministering in song, there is at least one thing that remains constant: the Holy Spirit's ability to use a word of a song, a phrase in a song, or words and phrases accompanied by appropriate chord patterns to minister to my soul. During times of discouragement, singing praise to Christ has been a method of chasing that discouragement away. Even though those feelings might dampen my desire to sing, the deep, underlying peace which Christ brings, shines through the clouds and brings me hope and comfort as I lift my voice in praise to Him. During time of joy, singing has been one way of expressing my joy and sharing it with other people. During times of seeking direction from God, singing has been one of my mehthods of asking Him for guidance. I praise God for music and songs by which we can express our heart's longings, desires, and thanksgiving. I also praise Him for the constant ministering of His Spirit to my heart and soul through songs of praise.

Please listen to the message of each song and allow it to minister to your soul. Maybe God, through His Spirit, will speak to you in ways that you have been longing for Him to speak. Maybe God has been speaking all along in other ways but you were unable to open your heart's door to internalize what He was trying to say. Opening one's heart takes a bit of faith; but opening of your heart, coupled with obedience to the message that you receive as you worship Jesus Christ, will go a long way towards strengthening your relationship with Jesus--your Lord and Savior.
